About 40 million cases of diseases established for the first time among children aged 0—17 years are registered every year in the Russian Federation.
OBJECTIVE
To perform the analysis of dynamics and determine the prognosis of children’s morbidity of diseases of the genitourinary system of the child population living in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) for the 2007—2018 period.
MATERIALS AND METHODS
Dynamics and prognosis of morbidity and disability in children for the 2007—2018 period were investigated in the study against the data for the Russian Federation. Report forms of the federal statistical observation were used as a source of information at this stage.
RESULTS
Throughout the researched period, there were higher rates of overall children’s morbidity of diseases of the genitourinary system in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) than in the Russian Federation, with the exception of the last two years of the investigated period (2017—2018). Downward trends have been observed throughout the period under study, but they have been traced most strongly from 2013—2014 (35.5% in 2007 and 22.1% in 2018). The highest rates of overall morbidity have been registered in children aged 15—17 years. Congenital anomalies (developmental defects) (42.6%), as well as glomerular and other diseases of the kidneys and ureters (22.6%) predominate in the structure of primary children’s morbidity diseases of the genitourinary system. The prognosis of primary morbidity rate of diseases of the genitourinary system in children living in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) confirmed the existence of downward trends, both with regard to primary and overall morbidity. The most appropriate is to use the exponential function for prediction.
CONCLUSION
It is recommended to use the data of medium-term prognosis when planning the necessary volumes of nephrological care for children with diseases of the kidneys and genitourinary system in primary health care.
