Abstract:

Development of optimal treatment regimens for rosacea is an urgent problem of modern dermatovenerology.

THE PURPOSE

Evaluation of the effectiveness of combination therapy of erythematous-papular rosacea using 15% azelaic acid gel, 0.03% tacrolimus ointment and medicinal cosmetics.

MATERIAL AND METHODS

The work was carried out on the basis of the CLDC of the SSMU. 22 patients with erythematous-papular form of rosacea were under observation: 11 (50%) men and 11 (50%) women, mean age 42.1±9.5 years. All patients received a combination therapy with 15% azelaic acid gel, 0.03% tacrolimus ointment, and medicinal cosmetics. The dynamics of the patients’ skin condition was assessed using a scale for the diagnostic assessment of rosacea, patient’s quality of life — dermatological index of the quality of life.

RESULTS

As a result of treatment, the indicators of the scale of the diagnostic assessment of rosacea and the dermatological index of quality of life was decreased; duration of remission was 6 months. No serious side effects reported.

CONCLUSION

The high efficiency of combination therapy of erythematous-papular rosacea with 15% azelaic acid gel, 0.03% tacrolimus ointment and medicinal cosmetics was established.
