Melanoma incidence increases each year. It is one of the most aggressive skin tumors. Widely available dermatoscopy makes it possible to diagnose neoplasms with high diagnostic accuracy, especially in cases of facial localization, which are belong to the «gray» zone. Differential diagnosis of such neoplasms requires additional diagnostic methods, such as multiphoton tomography and optical coherence tomography angiography. In this study, benign and malignant melanocytic neoplasms of the facial skin with dermatoscopy index from 4.75 to 5.45 were researched. Based on the received results, it is demonstrated, that finding of one or more signs of malignant neoplasms (according to multiphoton tomography and optical coherence tomography angiography) is the factor of choice of aggressive surgical strategy.
