Acne significantly reduces patient’s quality of life, and its therapy represents a significant pharmacoeconomic problem. A 3-year observation of the persistence of remission of the skin process and the dynamics of the psychoemotional state of 22 patients after treatment with systemic isotretinoin was conducted. Objective — to assess the psycho-emotional state and the skin process in patients with severe acne during the remission of the disease after treatment with systemic isotretinoin. Material and methods. A total of 22 patients with severe acne were observed. There were 15 men (68.2%), 7 women (31.8%). The average age was 21 (18—25) years; the average duration of the disease was 5 (2—7) years. As a result of treatment, clinical remission was achieved in 100% of cases. A study of the quality of life of patients was conducted using DSQL, the Cardiff Social Disadaptation Index (CADI) and APSEA. Conclusions. Systemic therapy with isotretinoin provides sustained remission in 95.45% of cases (3 years of follow-up). There has been an improvement in the quality of life, the psycho-emotional state of the patients, as evidenced by the normalization of the main psychometric indices CADI, APSEA, DSQL.
