The eyes and periorbital area are central to perception of facial beauty and age. Aesthetic surgeries in this area can dramatically improve the appearance of men and women. Blepharoplasty is one of the most common aesthetic surgeries worldwide. Satisfaction with appearance and improved quality of life are important criteria for patients evaluating the results after eyelid surgery. PROM questionnaires are valuable for quantitative self-assessment of outcomes after blepharoplasty. The purpose of our study was to compare the main PROM scales for evaluating the results of blepharoplasty. We reviewed some PROMs, including Blepharoplasty Outcomes Evaluation (BOE), Glasgow Benefit Inventory (GBI) and FACE-Q. Studies revealed significant improvement in patient satisfaction after surgery, especially in appearance and psychoemotional state. Introduction of specialized scales, such as the FACE-Q Eye module, made it possible to assess satisfaction and quality of life of patients after blepharoplasty. Despite high satisfaction with postoperative outcomes, analysis of results and thorough assessment of the risk of complications are necessary to improve blepharoplasty techniques.
