Abstract:

Incidence of Rosacea in different countries ranges from 1 to 22% of the population. Genetic predisposition was shown. Ultraviolet radiation, stress, heat, and spicy foods are triggers of rosacea. Contrary to the previous opinion, demodicosis and rosacea are different pathological processes, so they must be differentiated. Migraine and diabetes mellitus affect the course of rosacea. Administration of triptane increases the risk of the disease. On the other hand, administration of spironolactone, lithium, and beta-blockers reduce the risk of rosacea. Epidemiological studies of this dermatosis should be continued.
