The paper presents an update on the epidemiology, pathogenesis, and clinical presentation of acne, as well as the efficiency of treatment using standard and low-dose isotretinoin regimens. It provides evidence that it is expedient and promising to use low-dose isotretinoin in the treatment of patients with acne vulgaris and mild and moderate late-onset acne.
