The authors describe a 80 year-old patient presenting with multiple recurring skin basaliomas and keratomas of different localization. The patient had a history of surgical treatment for stage 1 (T1N0M0) bladder cancer and of repeated ablation of cutaneous tumours by cryodestruction, short-distance radio- and photodynamic therapy including the intravenous administration of photosensitizer photoditasine to which the patients developed a marked toxic reaction. The treatment of basal cell cancer of the skin was carried out by photodynamic therapy in combination with the use of a photoditasine preparation intended for the cutaneous application as a photosensitizer.
