Coronary artery disease is one of the leading causes of mortality worldwide. Since the first coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) in the early 1960s, surgery became one of the most common procedures. Total autoarterial myocardial revascularization improves immediate and long-term outcomes of CABG. Among all arterial grafts, the benefits of internal mammary artery (IMA) were recognized worldwide and confirmed by excellent long-term results. The choice of IMA in situ or composite «Y» or «T» grafts is still debatable. This review is devoted to technical aspects of bilateral internal mammary artery grafting.
