Currently, Russia provides limited data on assessing the quality of medical care for patients after myocardial revascularization. At the same time, digital services are introduced globally to assess the quality of care based on patients’ feedback.
OBJECTIVE
To analyze the existing capacities and prospects of applying a multidimensional assessment of the quality of medical care and rehabilitation, considering the patient-centric model and the use of digital resources.
MATERIAL AND METHODS
The authors analyzed the guidelines for quality assessments of medical care for patients after myocardial revascularization in the Russian Federation, published from January 2014 to August 2024 and available in the RSCI and PubMed databases by the keywords «quality of medical care», «organization of medical care», «medical care», «organization of rehabilitation after revascularization», «PREM», «feedback», and «patient assessment».
RESULTS
The analysis revealed that the regulatory framework regarding patient-oriented criteria for assessing the quality of medical care for patients after myocardial revascularization is not sufficiently elaborated in Russia. There is a lack of questionnaires for the self-assessment of the quality of medical care by specialists and the patient feedback in the «patient—medical worker» diad. There are no regulatory requirements for using such patient-oriented approaches. The article analyses the capacities of the existing digital solutions for patient-healthcare manager communication on the quality of medical care.
CONCLUSION
The use and promotion of patient feedback questionnaires (PREM) for interdisciplinary cooperation between patients, doctors, and medical psychologists, considering healthcare system digitization, could improve the quality of medical care, support the efficient use of resources in the provision of high-tech medical care, and contribute to maintaining the health and improving the well-being of the population.
