Abstract:

Aim. To analyze the correlation of life quality with hemodynamic performance and adherence to treatment in patients with artificial heart valves on background of the training program and without it. Material and methods. The study included 99 patients (55 women and 44 men, mean age 48.6±9.6 years) with artificial heart valves. There were. All patients underwent surgical treatment. Long-term results were assessed by using of SF-36 questionnaire. Results. We revealed a strong positive correlation between physical and psychological health and their relationship with integral indicator of adherence to treatment in patients with artificial heart valves. Less correlation between mental health and adherence to treatment was observed in patients without training program. Strong negative correlation of adherence to treatment with NYHA heart failure and positive correlation with 6-minute walk test were obtained. Conclusion. Training program has a positive effect on clinical and hemodynamic parameters and, consequently, quality of life in patients with artificial heart valves.
