Results of treatment for abdominal aorta ruptures (AAR) were analyzed. Total amount of unfavorable results in AAR concluded 80.9%. Postoperative mortality was statistically significantly low in specialized units compared with municipal and district hospitals. In absence of hemorrhagic shock mortality didn't depend on location of carried out operation and in hemorrhage lesser than 25% mortality was significantly lower under conditions of regional hospital. In severe hemorrhage (hemorrhagic shock III-IV degree) results didn't heavily depend on the location of surgical treatment. Direct relation between mortality and duration of preoperative period was noticed. It is drawn a conclusion that time criteria suggesting the appropriateness of transferring the patient from district hospital to specialized unit shouldn't exceed 12 hours after supposed rupture. All patients with this index higher than 16 hours must be operated in surgical unit at the place of primary admission by visiting crew of vascular surgeons. Interval from 12 to 16 hours requires individual approach to possibility of transfer with detailed evaluation of hemorrhagic shock and estimation of hemoglobin level.
