Abstract:

Results of treatment were analyzed in 43 patients with various types of adrenal malignancy. Amount of diagnostic procedures and surgical tactics for treatment of adrenal pathology were determined depending on type and size of tumor. All patients were operated, 1 patient with bilateral pheochromocytoma died from acute cardiovascular failure. Selection of surgical approach for adrenal neoplasm depended on its size. Authors prioritize mini-invasive approach for tumors lesser than 5 cm, while thoracolumbotomy is suggested optimal for more solid tumors. Authors justify that these operations must be carried out in specialized vascular centers taking into account topographic and anatomic specifics.
