Abstract:

Cancer often results venous thrombosis and pulmonary embolism. As a rule, standard therapy with anticoagulants is carried out in these cases. Thrombolytic therapy is applied if it is necessary. In this article, a 55-year-old patient with uterine sarcoma followed by recurrent venous thrombosis and pulmonary embolism, uterine bleeding is reported. The use of modern endovascular technologies (uterine artery embolization, cava filter implantation) allowed to stop bleeding, to carry out thrombolytic therapy of pulmonary embolism and to prescribe anticoagulants in a therapeutic dose. Combination of these measures prevented adverse outcome.
