Objective. The present article was designed to report the results of using the minimally invasive surgical techniques for the treatment of the patients presenting with primary varicosis in the real clinical practice. Material and methods. This study enrolled 165 patients at the age varying from 20 to 75 (mean 47.5) years including 51 (31%) men and  114 (69%) women. The duration of the disease ranged from 1 to 43 years. The great saphenous vein (GSV) was affected in 132 (80%) patients and the small saphenous vein (SSV) in the remaining 33 (20%) ones. All the patients underwent the combined surgical treatment including ligation of the main subcutaneous trunk and its invaginational extirpation with the use of a probe within the bounds of the changes detected in the ultrasound study (in 45% of the cases, the trunks in the distal segments of the lower legs were not removed). In addition, endoscopic subfascial dissection of perforating veins (ESDPV) and miniphlebectomy was  performed.
