Abstract:

This work was designed to study the role of an extract from grape red leaves in the combined treatment of the patients with acute iliofemoral phlebothrombosis who underwent implantation of the cava filter in the preceding period. The main characteristics determined in this study were the malleolar volume and the quality of life (with the use of the validated CIVIQ questionnaire). Two groups of the patients were included in the study. In one of them, the patients (n=21) were given a phlebotropic drug, the other (n=20) served as control (no phlebotonics were prescribed).
