Purpose. To evaluate the combined treatment efficiency and to find out the recurrence rate of the ovarian endometrioma. Material and methods. The prospective observational study evaluating the effectiveness of combined treatment of endometriomas found out the relapse frequency after treatment. 185 patients with the histologically approved diagnosis of endometriosis of the ovaries were monitored. The patents have got laparoscopic cystectomies with further administration of anti-relapse hormonal therapy. Results. Combined treatment of the ovarian endometriomas: surgery with the subsequent hormone therapy is effective for the symptoms: chronic pelvic pain, dyspareunia, dysmenorrheal in 95% of cases. Pregnancy occurred in 30.5% of women with subfertility. The recurrence rate of the ovarian endometrioma after a combined approach in 2 and 3 years is 1.4% and 3.7% respectively. 7.6% of patients who undergo surgical treatment had recurrent ovarian endometrioma in 5.3 years. Conclusion. Thus, surgical and hormonal methods of treatment should not be considered separately in order to improve the effectiveness of treatment and improve outcomes.
