Nowadays safety of operations with the usage of single laparoscopic access is not obvious. A detailed analysis of intra- and postoperative complications of more than 400 resections of colon performed by various laparoscopic methods is depicted in the article. Patients underwent surgical interventions for malignant tumors, complications of diverticular disease and inflammatory diseases of intestine. All the patients were divided into three groups depending on the method of operation. Patients of the first group underwent laparoscopic-assisted operations (LA) (n=115), patients from second group — operations with usage of hand-assistance (HA) (n=235), those from third group — single laparoscopic access was used (SLA) (n=54). Analysis of oncological criteria of the subjects taken from the patients due to cancer has shown absence of differences between the groups, thus indicating oncological safety of SLA operations. Complications, lethality, reasons for conversions and factors of safety of laparoscopic operations are analyzed. For gaining more objective data further prospective randomized researches are needed.
