Abstract:

A gastric adenoma is a precancerous condition that develops if a patient has chronic atrophic gastritis. The most common cause of atrophic gastritis is H. pylori infection, but in some cases, mucosal atrophy develops due to other reasons, for example, autoimmune gastritis. This clinical case demonstrates the diagnosis and endoscopic treatment of gastric adenoma developed in a patient with H. pylori-negative autoimmune atrophic gastritis.
