Abstract:

The main method of radical treatment of patients with cicatricial stenosis of the trachea currently remains surgical in the volume of circular resection of the trachea, it allows you to restore the patency of the respiratory tract and remove the affected area. However, performing radical operations urgently is not always possible. In such cases, to ensure the patency of the trachebronchial tree with cicatricial stenosis of the trachea, endoscopic technologies have proven themselves well. Often they allow you to resolve an emergency situation and prepare the patient for radical surgery. If radical surgical intervention is not possible, the endoscopic method is used as an independent one. At the same time, the airway patency is maintained by installing a tubular structure — a silicone endoprosthesis — into the lumen of the narrowed trachea section. This paper presents the relevance and frequency of the development of cicatricial stricture of the trachea, as well as possible treatment options for these patients. The experience of endoscopic methods of treatment of patients with cicatricial tracheal stenosis is presented, and the vector of possible prospects for the treatment of patients with cicatricial tracheal stenosis with the use of new devices for recanalization of stenosis is determined.
