Recommendations for forensic-medical expert assessment of adverse outcomes of diseases and treatment in anesthesiology and intensive care

Forensic medical expert assessment of adverse outcomes of diseases and medical care is an essential component in analysis of these cases. Moreover, outcomes of legal prosecutions largely depend on these assessments. Conclusions of specialists involved in consideration of cases of providing medical care may be subjective and untenable due to insufficient professional competencies in expert work. The authors present some key provisions and algorithm for forensic medical expert evaluation. These data will contribute to adequate professional interpretation of adverse outcomes of diseases and medical care.
