Painfullness of lidocaine-containing and lidocaine-free injections of b complex vitamins

OBJECTIVE

To compare pain intensity after lidocaine-containing and lidocaine-free injections of B complex vitamins, to analyze advantages and disadvantages of lidocaine-containing solution.

MATERIAL AND METHODS

There were 120 patients with musculoskeletal pain. Pain intensity was assessed after lidocaine-containing and lidocaine-free intramuscular injections of B complex vitamins.

RESULTS

Lidocaine-containing injections of B complex vitamins are associated with significantly reduced pain syndrome. Nevertheless, these differences have minimal clinical significance.

CONCLUSION

Advisability of inclusion of anesthetic drug into B complex vitamins injections requires further research.
