Abstract:

The paper contains a translation of the chapters of the monograph «Onomatologia anatomica» (1880) by the Austrian anatomist Josef Hyrtl, which provides a historical and linguistic analysis of the names of some anatomical structures of the rhombencephalon: «Calamus scriptorius», «Medulla oblongata», «Pedunculus», «Restiformis», and «Valvula cerebri magna.»
