Cardio-vascular system holds the first place among the causes of the general population mortality in the Russian Federation. In the Penza region, the Regional Vascular Center works in the frames of the federal program to improve the care of patients with vascular diseases. Since the center started out, new methods to treat the disease treatment (e.g., thrombolytic therapy, the use of surgical and X-ray endovascular interventions for hemorrhagic stroke) were actively introduced. Particular attention is paid to the prevention of cerebral circulation disorders and consultative care.
