Abstract:

Peripheral rhythmic magnetic stimulation is characterized by neuromyostimulating effect, as well as analgesic, trophic and decongestant effects. It is considered as a method of non-drug neuromodulation aimed at modulating afferent-efferent pathways and correcting spinal-cortical mechanisms responsible for maintaining chronic pain. The paper summarizes modern ideas about mechanisms of action, including induced depolarization of peripheral axons, attenuation of central sensitization and remodeling of reflex arches.
