Objective — to reveal risk factors for recurrent miscarriage and clinicoanamnestic and immunological characteristics in pregnant women with a threatened abortion in the first trimester of pregnancy and with a history of recurrent miscarriage. Subject and methods. A study group consisted of 80 women with a threatened abortion in the first trimester of pregnancy and with a history of recurrent early pregnancy loss. A control group included 31 pregnant women with no signs of threatened miscarriage at the examination and with a history of recurrent miscarriage. Results. The risk factors of recurrent miscarriage are older reproductive age, unregistered family relations, remarriage, long-term exposure to unfavorable occupational factors, bad habits, and a compromised family and obstetric history. The presence of markers for acute urogenital (Mycoplasma, herpesvirus, and cytomegalovirus) infections in women with a history of recurrent miscarriage leads to immune system dysregulation, among other processes, cytokine elaboration, thus giving rise to miscarriage, preterm birth, and other pregnancy complications. Conclusion. The identification of anamnestic, clinical, and immunological factors and their modification at the planning stage and early gestational ages will be able to predict the poor course of pregnancy and to ensure an individual approach to choosing management tactics for women with recurrent miscarriage.
