The use of edge technology is often the reason for the change in patient habits associated, in particular, with the development of various abnormalities in eating behavior. In the presented clinical observation, a patient with a diagnosis of «Abnormalities in the ratio of dental arches of class II (K07.2)» after the installation of bracket systems against the background of a change in the diet appeared clinical symptoms from the gastrointestinal tract, with which she went to the doctor. As a result of the change in the diet, the patient developed clinical symptoms from the gastrointestinal tract, with whom she sought medical attention. In addition to the main diagnosis «Chronic superficial gastritis (K29.3). Gastroesophageal reflux with esophagitis (K21.0). Other pancreatic diseases (K86). Intestinal disease unspecified (K63.9)». Bacteriological examination of faeces revealed grade II dysbiosis. The patient was prescribed complex treatment, which led to the normalization of clinical and laboratory symptoms. The clinical case considered in the article justifies the need for orthodontists to conduct explanatory work with the patient on the advisability of using a balanced diet after installing a non-removable orthodontic structure, as well as on the advisability of a personalized approach to prescribing diagnostic and therapeutic measures.
