Abstract:

The most efficient method for restoring major craniofacial defects involves utilizing composite flaps of tissues from remote body areas with subsequent revascularization, which addresses both bony and soft tissue defects. The article illustrates the effective use of a free bone autograft and the importance of a staged approach to aiding the injured, enabling reconstructive and restorative surgeries in a homefront hospital. This method was selected due to its stability in long-term outcomes, low risk of postoperative complications, and expedited patient rehabilitation.
