Adenotomy is the most frequent surgical intervention performed on the Waldeier-Pirogov lymphopharingeal ring in the children. Indications for this operation in the young patients include the obstructive sleep apnea syndrome, exudative otitis media, recurrent acute otitis media. The «golden standard» of diagnostics and the choice of the treatment strategy for this condition is endoscopy of the nasal cavity and nasopharynx. Under the current conditions, adenotomy is carried out in many clinics without visual control which makes the children and their parents seek the long-term medical care. To reduce the frequency of relapses and increase the cost-effectiveness of the treatment, it is necessary to remove adenoids under the visual control with the use of the optical devices (endoscopes).
