Psychoemotional risk factors influence the development of cardiovascular diseases, due to this timely assessment and correction of psychoemotional disorders will improve the primary prevention of this pathology.
OBJECTIVE
To evaluate the data of the «Screening of mental and behavioural disorders» questionnaire depending on the gender of respondents.
MATERIAL AND METHODS
A cross-sectional study was performed within the grant «Development and testing of the model (digital platform and methodical recommendations) of comprehensive medical screening and correction of risk factors of chronic non-communicable and socially significant diseases» in Altai State Medical University (Barnaul). An online survey of Barnaul residents aged from 18 to 44 years by the specially developed «Screening of mental and behavioural disorders» questionnaire was conducted.
RESULTS
A number of questionnaires equal 420 have been analyzed, 185 women and 235 men were respondents. The most common abnormalities in women were: groundless fear and anxiety; the need to recheck that they had turned off the electrical appliances or closed the door; loss of energy, apathy; headache and dizziness (p<0.0001); sleep disorders (p=0.0034); feeling of loss of control over one’s life (p=0.0003); compulsive thoughts or memories (p=0.0086); feeling the need to injure oneself or another person (p=0.0191); irritating loud sounds, bright light, sharp colors (p=0.0035); regular work requires more effort than before (p=0.0028). Men more often considered themselves unhappy (p=0.0332) and their life as joyless and meaningless (p=0.0001); noted depressed mood (p=0.0210), unexplainable irritability and aggressiveness (p=0.0020), nightmares (p=0.0131); there were more positive answers to the questions «Do you think that people behind your eyes speak ill of you?» (p=0.0033) and «Have you ever seen or heard anything that isn’t there?» (p=0.0001).
CONCLUSION
The gender-specific features of psychoemotional risk factors in young people should be taken into account for personalized approach to the prevention of cardiovascular diseases.
