Abstract:

OBJECTIVE

To systematize the experience of organizing the ESSE-RF multicenter observational study in the Vologda region.

MATERIAL AND METHODS

It is a retrospective analysis of the multicenter observational study of cardiovascular risk factors in the Vologda region in 2013—2014.

RESULTS

Stepwise organization of the study is shown; the applied principles and forms of interaction with medical institutions and healthcare professionals are characterized. The role of volunteer activities for engaging residents of the region, forms of specially designed information materials, examination logs, delivery, and storage of laboratory tests are described.

CONCLUSION

The experience in organizing the ESSE-RF study in the Vologda region provides a good approbation platform, improving the skills of healthcare professionals and researchers and encouraging the residents of the region to build up self-preservation practices.
