The updated guidelines (second revision) for the management patients with concomitant coronary artery disease undergoing non-cardiac surgery are presented. Recent data on epidemiology, pathogenesis, classification and main principles of perioperative management of coronary artery disease are highlighted. The key recommendations on risk stratification and preoperative examination of patients with co-existing coronary artery disease are presented. We describe the peculiarities of anesthesia and intraoperative monitoring, as well as postoperative management of patients with coronary artery disease. Prevention and treatment of postoperative complications, principles of management of perioperative myocardial infarction are discussed in detail. Basic criteria of medical care quality control are presented.
