The voluntary work plays an important role in public health maintenance both in Russia and in the world. One of the significant part of this work is educational activities on disease prevention. The article presents the experience of creating and implementing a preventive program with the involvement of volunteers — students of the preventive profile of study at a medical university on the model of a project of improvement of adherence to immunization. The main stages of the implementation of this project and the results achieved are presented. An overview of the international and Russian voluntary work on the field of medicine is given.
