Abstract:

A review of available domestic and foreign literature on the economic costs and cost-effectiveness of the surgical treatment of coronary heart disease (CHD) is performed. Differences in the economic models of health systems in different countries lead to different sources of financing for such high-tech method of care as coronary artery bypass surgery (CABG). In recent years, the problem of economic feasibility of school children has been updated, due to the high economic costs and the very low return to active life of people of working age after school in the Russian Federation. Despite the high percentage of disability of people after CABG, as well as non-return to work, it is correct to evaluate economic efficiency in the long term.
