The assessment of population morbidity is one of the primary tasks in the health care system, since this parameter provides background for measures to protect and improve the public health care system.
OBJECTIVE
To study the incidence of disease in the rural population of different age groups in the Russian Federation in 2020 compared with 2019 and with the average incidence of disease for 2017—2019.
MATERIALS AND METHODS
Based on the data of the Annual Form of Federal Statistical Monitoring No. 12 (summary report), «Data on the number of diseases registered in patients residing in the service area of a healthcare facility», we analyzed the morbidity of the rural population in different age groups in 2020. The data processing was performed using the statistical reporting processing system «Medstat». Statistical and analytical methods were used in the study. Intensive variables per 100.000 population were calculated and analyzed.
RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
We present data on the analysis of prevalence and incidence rates of disease of the rural population in the Russian Federation in 2020 depending on the age group: children from 0 to 17 years, working-age and over working-age.
CONCLUSION
In 2020, a decrease in overall morbidity (per 100.000 people of relevant age) in the rural population compared to 2019 and the average overall morbidity in 2017—2019 in all age groups was observed; and there was also a decrease in the incidence rate of disease (per 100.000 people of relevant age) in children 0 to 17 years and the working-age adult population compared to 2019 and the average incidence rate of disease for 2017—2019. An increase in the incidence rate of disease (per 100.000 working-age population compared to 2019) and the average incidence rate of disease in 2017—2019 was observed.
