Abstract:

Colorectal cancer (CRC) dominates in the structure of cancer morbidity and mortality. In most countries, including in Russia, the number of new cases of CRC continues to grow and can reach 2.2 million by 2030. Numerous studies and metaanalyses have shown that screening for CRC is an efficient and cost-effective technique to detect the early forms of the disease and to reduce death rates. The review presents various methods for screening for CRC and international and Russian clinical guidelines for its prevention.
