The study was conducted on the base of Centre of Family Planning and Reproduction, Moscow City health protection Department. It involved 90 sexually active women of reproductive age with PCOS (ESHRE/ASRM). The control group consisted of 18 healthy, sexually active women of reproductive age. Clinical, laboratory, instrumental, and integrative psychopathological examination (MINI-6, HADS, SFF and developed from SFF semi-structured interview) were performed. Data processing was carried out with the use of basic and non-parametric statistical methods. Results and discussion. 55 (61.11%) patients with PCOS and 10 (55.56%) in the control group demonstrated abnormalities in various aspects of sexuality. 34 (37.78%) patients with PCOS and 4 (22.22%) in the control group subjectively acknowledged the existence of sexual problems. We found significant differences between PCOS and control group (U-Mann-Whitney test; p<0.05) in vaginal mucusdefluvium and the ability to have orgasm. Patients with PCOS and co-occurring anxiety and/or depression and patients with PCOS without emotional disturbances demonstrated significant differences in the ability to have orgasm and the physical reaction to the end of sexual intercourse, and less significant in sexual activity and sexual satisfaction between (U-Mann-Whitney test; p<0.05 and p<0.1). We found that sexual disturbances communicated with marital status, educational level, and the current desire to conceive. No communication of sexual disturbances with BMI, PCOS phenotype, past sexual experience, or presence of children was found.
