Abstract:

The modern data concerning the role of systemic inflammatory response syndrome in preterm labour are presented. Understanding of mechanisms of systemic inflammatory response, oxidative stress, innate and adaptive immunity, genetic predisposition to inflammatory response is important for solving the problem of preterm labour. This knowledge can give an opportunity to predict the preterm labour and to create a system of measures for preterm labour prevention and improvement of perinatal outcomes.
