Abstract:

Objective. To assess the clinical effects and safety of Feminal in patients with NIDDM and climacteric syndrome. Methods. The study included 60 females aged 47-54 years old with NIDDM and climacteric symptoms. Treatment group (n=30) received Feminal, control group (n=30) received no treatment. Results. After 3 months of follow-up there was significant decrease of Kupperman index (from 25,34±10,17 to 11,5±10,17; p<0.01) in treatment group. The control group showed no significant changes of Kupperman index. Conclusion. Feminal is an effective method for climacteric symptoms correction in women with NIDDM.
