Abstract:

A tragic clinical case of fat embolism syndrome after liposuction with lipofilling is presented. The author analyzes appropriate literature data on etiology, diagnosis and treatment of these patients. Histological examination of specimens was carried out. The author discusses pathophysiology of fat embolism syndrome, baseline symptoms, diagnostic criteria, treatment and prevention.
