Abstract:

OBJECTIVE

To improve the results and safety of complex body contouring including liposuction and lipofilling via development of convenient extended system for objective risk factor assessment.

MATERIAL AND METHODS

We retrospectively and prospectively analyzed the immediate and long-term results of aesthetic body contouring using clinical, laboratory and ultrasound methods, as well as thermometry.

RESULTS

We applied a unified system for objective risk assessment in aesthetic body contouring. We proposed to consider liposuction volume, intraoperative thermometry data, hemoglobin and smoking thereby increasing the number of factors up to 10.

CONCLUSION

A comprehensive and unique scale for objective risk assessment improves safety and quality of aesthetic body contouring.
