The paper describes a clinical case of a patient with synchronous sigmoid colon liver metastases who were treated applying the liver-first approach when liver surgery is performed first, then chemotherapy is used, and primary tumor surgery is done at the final stage. It gives the data available in the literature on indications and limitations of simultaneous and sequential operations and their outcomes.
