Abstract:

Primary and recurrent locally advanced colon cancer is a serious problem in surgical oncology. The volume of surgical procedures for colorectal cancer involving the adjacent organs is aimed at achieving clean resection margins. Prolonged overall survival rates can be achieved for both primary and recurrent tumors, at only during radical surgery in the absence of a residual tumor. The review provides epidemiological, clinical and morphological assessments of colon tumors and an analysis of the possibilities of multivisceral resections in the treatment of locally advanced colorectal cancer and the immediate and long-term results of multivisceral resections.
