Abstract:

The results of treatment of patients were studied in 1022 patients operated on for locally advanced and complicated colorectal cancer, including 585 patients with rectal cancer and 436 patients with colon cancer. Patients with complicated colon cancer in the period 1991 to 2008 were analyzed. Among complications due to colon cancer, ileus was 59.2%. There was a preponderance of left-sided obstructing cancer in the structure of occlusive ileus in elderly and senile patients. Surgical tactics of complicated colon cancer at different sites were formulated.
