The paper reviews the Russian and foreign literature from 1988 to 2011 on laser and magnet laser radiation used in cancer patients. It considers the mechanisms of biological action of physical factors, the safety and efficiency of their application to malignancies at specialized treatment stages. Low-intensity laser and magnet laser radiations are shown to have anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, and anesthetic activities and to promote wound healing and a recovered balance between the components of the nervous system. Low-intensity laser and magnet laser radiations with the indicators used in clinical practice fail to stimulate tumor growth and to affect the oncological results of treatment. Physical exposure factors may be used both in the prevention of complications due to active antitumor treatment and in combination of modulatory therapy.
