The paper describes the benefits of molecular biological methods for diagnosis. It provides evidence for the necessity of personalizing the medical measures based on the preventive genetic diagnosis of a specific patient. The experience of Polyclinic One, Department for Presidential Affairs of the Russian Federation, in planning an up-to-date molecular genetic laboratory involving PCR diagnostic and genetic studies is described as an example.
