The incidence rates in children, despite the complex of preventive measures taken at the state level, tend to increase. Children of older age groups are characterized by high rates of chronic diseases. In children aged 15—17 years, among the chronic pathology, a significant place is occupied by skin diseases (SD) and subcutaneous tissue (ST), especially atopic dermatitis (AD), which significantly violates the child’s physical development and creates psychological problems.

OBJECTIVE

Estimation of the incidence of SD of skin and ST, including AD, in children aged 15-17 in the Udmurt Republic.

MATERIAL AND METHODS

The data of official medical statistical reporting from 2000 to 2018 were analyzed.

RESULTS

During the analyzed period, an increase in the incidence of SD and ST, including AD, among children in the age group of 15-17 years was revealed in the Udmurt Republic. The indicators of general and primary morbidity of both SD and ST as a whole, and blood pressure, were characterized by instability. The analysis of official statistical forms of morbidity, formed by the visits to medical organizations, does not reflect the true picture of the prevalence of SD and ST, including AD. This is evidenced by the instability and pronounced fluctuations in the growth rate (decrease) of intensive indicators of general and primary morbidity, as well as the indicator of the proportion of AD in the structure of SD and ST. The data obtained justify the need to improve the accounting for the general and primary morbidity of children with SD and ST, including AD.
