Abstract:

Different models of small-sized prostheses were implanted in 81 middle and old-aged patients with aortic stenosis and narrow aortic fibrous ring for the period from January 2011 to August 2013. Postoperative 1-year follow-up data reveal satisfactory left ventricular hypertrophy regression. Thus, reconstructive aortic root surgery may be almost refused in these patients.
