Abstract:

It was studied the influence of multifocal atherosclerosis (MFA) on patients' life quality in 1 year after coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). Assessment of life quality before and in 12.5±1.1 months after surgery was performed in 471 patients. 373 of them were men in the age of 59.6±6.4 years. It was formed 2 groups depending on presence of MFA. Arterial stenoses more than 30% with any localization were taken into consideration. The first group included 195 patients with MFA. The second group consisted on 276 patients without MFA. Questionnaire SF-36 was used for investigation of life quality. It was concluded that MFA in patients with coronary heart disease is associated with augmentation of depression and decrease of life quality in 1 year after surgery according to SF-36. Also patients with coronary heart disease and MFA had lower integral parameters of physical and psychological health components in comparison with patients without MFA. Multifactor analysis shows that MFA and stroke in anamnesis impact independently on diagnostics of low physical health component in 1 year after CABG. MFA was single factor for psychological health component.
