Abstract:

It was performed a comparative analysis of immediate results of cryophlebectomy and conventional phlebectomy application in treatment of patients with varicose veins of lower limbs. 564 surgical interventions were done including 97 (17.2%) cases of cryo-stripping. It was shown that cold exposure during cryoextraction reduces volume of hematoma, inflammation and improves patient's life quality. It is accompanied by decrease of rehabilitation period. Cryoprobes application minimizes number of accesses and improves cosmetic effect. It was concluded that cryostripping is the most perspective, safe and effective method for removal of subcutaneous venous trunks.
